About The Scholarship Contest

Since 2011, we have proudly supported our local high school students through our “What Makes a House a Home?” scholarship contest. Over the years, the many thoughtfully crafted essays of home have deeply inspired us. This essay contest is open to all Thurston County High School students, grades 9 through 12, from private to public, homeschooled and online learning – we really look forward to hearing your story of home!

Teachers are a big part of what make this community a great place to call home. They inspire the hearts and minds of our youth. Each year our first-place scholarship winner nominates a teacher of their choice to receive this award. We are thrilled to give back and honor these teachers.
