Something that makes a house a home, is the feeling of being safe in the environment you share with your family. Your family plays a major role in making a house a home. No matter who you are, as long as you are loved and welcomed, you will always have a home to go to. Family members don’t have to be people. You can be a person who lives with a cat, dog, and a scorpion.

You could live anywhere no matter the conditions. For example, a person living in a grass hut on a deserted island can call this their home if they feel safe. Whereas, a person living in a mansion who doesn’t feel safe, can say that this isn’t their home. Homes only have meaning when you believe that anywhere you are, you will feel comfortable and your home is valuable to you.
